Don't Get Catfished by Brands: How to Spot the Difference Between Poor and Luxury Quality Preserved Roses

Industry secret: Most brands use formaldehyde-based solutions to preserve roses for a lower product cost. Yikes.

So how can you spot the difference between bad and quality? Here are tips to know before making a purchase:

  • Photos online are not 100% identical to the actual product. Go on social media for REAL reviews. REAL visuals in people's hands.

  • Written reviews online are not reliable, as companies and competitors can write both good and bad reviews to change public perception and trust.

  • Watch out for product size illusions! This is purely marketing deception. Small base = bigger roses. Reading product descriptions is important, however, brands like to give an illusion that hints a bigger product. See the jump-scare reactions online.

  • What is their preservation process? If it is not eco-friendly, run. Run very fast. The price of the roses is the greatest sign that you are about to purchase toxic roses. Browse the website - do they disclose their preservation process? This is important to ensure it's a good investment.

  • Petals matter. Are they scaled as Grade A+, or high school drop-out? Grade A is perfection at minimum. Frail, crispy looking petals are effects from chemical based preservations. They literally bring the life OUT of the rose's beauty all in the name of profit. To the naked eye of the average consumer, they appear beautiful. A trained florist will.

  • Origin of roses. Farms. Manufacturers. Are they produced on the other side of the world from an unknown country, in a mysterious factory with questionable regulations in place? Rose Haus is transparent: we work solely with Kiara roses. Most brands would never expose their vendor. However, we value consumer trust over competition.

You are now equipped to shop for luxury preserved roses confidently.
